Welcome From

Alaska Representative

Anne Pitts

I think that everyone can agree that Alaska is different from the rest of the “Lower 48 States” in many ways. We have the challenges of our environment, our remote location and our lack of transportation infrastructure, for example. Yet Alaskans are dedicated to this great state.

FAA employees are working together to push robust aviation facilities further into remote Alaskan regions and villages. Together, we are opening gateways of transportation within the Last Frontier. The Technical Women’s Organization is part of that community, providing a supportive network of training opportunities, scholarships, mentoring, and informational resources to enhance your career.

WELCOME, to the Great State of Alaska!

Regional Event and News

I would like to introduce myself as your new TWO representative.  My name is Anne Pitts.  I am an Aviation Safety Technician at the Anchorage Flight Standards District Office.  I have been with the FAA about a year.  Before moving to Alaska I lived in Grapevine, Texas and spent about twenty years with American Airlines in various capacities.

I am excited to be your Alaska TWO representative and will assist you in any way I can.

Other Info

We have a small, but diverse TWO membership in Alaska.  The talent, motivation and professionalism of our members is remarkable. We have a lot of expertise and insight to offer our fellow newcomers. I'd love to see our membership grow.  Please take it upon yourself to either join or recruit  new members. Don’t hesitate to suggest ways that we can better encourage women to choose FAA technical careers.
